石建省 研究员，1983年毕业于武汉地质学院工程地质专业，1996年毕业于中国地质大学（北京）工程地质专业，取得硕士学位，2000年获博士学位。2002年在清华大学科研院所长MPA班结业。现为中国地质科学院水文地质环境地质研究所所长、博士生导师。2001年政府特殊津贴获得者。
现为中国矿业联合会理事，中国地质学会水文地质专业委员会副主任、农业地学专业委员会副主任、工程地质专业委员会委员、环境地质专业委员会委员、旅游地学研究会委员，西部地质工作委员会秘书长，IAH中国国家委员会副主席，中国地矿经济学会环境经济专业委员会副主任，河北省地质学会理事，中国地球物理学会会员。兼任中国矿业大学（北京）客座教授、河北师范大学兼职教授、中国地质调查局地质调查项目质量监督检查专家。此外，还担任《地理与地理信息科学》副主编、《地球学报》常务编委、《南水北调与水利科技》编委、《中国地质》、《地质通报》、《中国地质灾害与防治学报》、《地质调查与研究》编委。
参加工作以来，先后负责承担或参加科研项目二十多项，其中负责14项。主要技术工作领域为区域环境地质与水文地质评价、中国黄土研究、脆弱带地质生态学、地学信息系统应用等。获得省部级科技成果奖励二等奖4项、三等奖1项。公开发表学术论文和专著近30篇（部）。
Prof. Shi Jiansheng, vice director of the Institute,
was graduated from Wuhan Geological Institute and obtained doctor
degree in China Geoscience University (Beijing) in 2000 and
was graduated from MPA of Tsinghua Scientific Institute. He
is vice director of Hydrogeology Commission, vice director of
the Agricultural Geology Commission, member of the Engineering
Geology Commission and Environmental Geology Commission, and
Secretary-general of the Western Geological Work Commission.
He is also vice chairman of China Chapter of IAH, vice director
of Environmental Geology of China Geology and Mineral Economy
Society. He is the guest professor in China Mineral Industry
University.
Since he worked, he has been responsible for over
20 scientific programs. His scientific research area ranges
in the regional environmental geology and hydrogeology assessments,
loess research in China, research on the vulnerable geological
ecology and geological information system etc. He has written
over 30 scientific papers or monographs.
