Main Tasks Can
be Undertaken by IHEG
Construction of the IHEG in four aspects: Becoming
part of the national innovation system in land and resources;
Setting up a qualified scientific team: Building up a comprehensive
platform for the international cooperative purpose; Organizing
a reliable and efficient team suitable for the social and economic
development.
To conduct the study on multi-scale water circulation system
evolution regularities- environment effect, groundwater quality
change mechanism, transformation technology and ecological protection;
To carry out the theoretical study on groundwater resources
assessment, especially on groundwater system in arid area;
To undertake nationwide and transregional groundwater resources
assessment and groundwater potential investigation, data collection
and actual investigation assessment;
To conduct groundwater quality protection investigation and
construction demonstration program.
To carry out the study on interaction of water-soil-ecology
and develop the theoretical system of ecological geology in
China;
To conduct the study on nationwide or transregional water-soil
resources utilization and protection, especially the study on
soil erosion, desertilization and salinazation; As to the different
storage conditions of groundwater;
To study corresponding new theory and method of groundwater
survey;
To carry out groundwater survey and development techniques
system for the area greatly short of water resources and its
comprehensive utilization;
To conduct the study on theory and method of effective survey,
monitoring and harnessing for geological hazards such as collapse,
landslide and mudflow;
To undertake the study on monitoring, forecast of geological
hazards and application demonstration;
To make the study on Quaternary geology and global climate
changes as well as the study on loess;
To undertake the data collection, management and analysis;
To carry out the study on the informationism and play a role
of data processing centre;
To undertake nationwide and transregional comprehensive mapping
and regional investigation in hydrogeology, engineering geology
and environmental geology;
To participate in drawing up the investigation planning and
working out the investigation standard and specifications;
To undertake the experiment and analysis in the aspects of
hydrogeology、engineering geology and environment geology.
